Franchisee Selection
Does my partner need to complete an application form?
Yes, if both are going to be franchisees.
What qualifications do I need?
No formal qualifications are required as we provide full training. The desire to learn new skills is more important to us than certificates.
What qualities will make me successful?
Having a passion for running your own business and pride in the quality of your workmanship will see you well on your way. In addition franchisees must enjoy working on their own whilst maintaining excellent customer relationships. Having experience with hand tools and computer and financial literacy are also important together with a ‘hands on’ and a ‘can do’ attitude.

Wellington.
What kind of training will I receive?
A three-week in depth training program covering all aspects of the wheel repair processes, Health & Safety ongoing support & training after the two weeks, including guidance on how to manage, grow and sustain your business.

Are there any additional costs?
You will need a white Toyota Hiace van (Used or New) – we will convert the interior into a mobile workshop.
What is included in the initial fee?
Initial training

Van signwriting, tinting of windows and fit-out

Franchisor’s standard legal costs for preparing and administering the Franchise Agreement
How are royalties collected?
Royalties are collected monthly, based on a percentage of your monthly income.
Earning Potential
Is there any limit to what I can earn?
No – the harder you work, the more you earn.
Administration
Can I renew at the end of this period?
Yes. We want you to be part of our long term success.
What is the initial franchise term?
The initial franchise term is five years and is renewable every five years thereafter.
Support
Do you have an annual conference?
Yes – this is a great opportunity for franchisees and the management team to get together. Our conferences are geared towards sharing information and ideas in a highly motivational environment.
Can you help with additional training?
We encourage you to continue professional development. We can recommend a large number of on-line and field based training courses.
What if I need further training?
Just ask – the support of all our team are always on hand to assist.
What if I need help?
The franchisors are available to offer advice and guidance. There is also our network of franchisees who collectively have a vast amount of experience to tap-into.
Are you a member of the NZ Franchise Association?
Yes – we take our involvement in the New Zealand franchise business seriously and are actively involved with the Association.

Where do I get my consumables?
To ensure the highest quality products are used at all times, consumables are purchased through our suppliers or us.

We are continually striving to ensure The Wheel Magician becomes a household name. As our network of franchisees grows, so does our brand awareness. We promote our business through a wide variety of media and through the NZ Franchise Association.
