Alloy Wheel Repair in Takapuna - We Come to You.

Kerbed a wheel on Hurstmere Road, clipped a car park pillar at Shore City, or found a scrape you cannot explain? Alloy wheel repair in Takapuna does not mean losing the car for a day. Our technician comes to your home or workplace anywhere on the North Shore, repairs the rim with the tyre still on the car, and has you driving away in 60 to 90 minutes.

What we fix across the North Shore

Kerb rash, scuffs, scrapes and gouges on alloy and mag wheels. Colour-matched refinishing so the repaired wheel matches the other three. Most of the damage we see on the Shore is from parallel parking in Takapuna, Milford and Devonport and from tight parking buildings, and nearly all of it is repairable. Cracked or buckled rims are a different job, and we will tell you straight if a wheel is not safe to repair.

Your North Shore technician

Alan Edwards covers West Auckland, the CBD and the North Shore, and he picks up most Takapuna residential work. His customers tend to say the same two things. Guy Satterthwaite found Alan's work faultless and the price far cheaper than the German car maker's preferred suppliers; another customer had quotes of $250 to $350 elsewhere before Alan did the job for less. Suhail had a scratched-up mag brought back to new condition while he was at work, without leaving the office.

How a mobile alloy wheel repair works in Takapuna.

Five things people choose us for: the workshop comes to you, the tyre stays on the car, it is done in 60 to 90 minutes, the finish is a like-new factory colour match, and it starts from around $150 per wheel including GST.

Suburbs we cover from Takapuna

Takapuna, Milford, Hauraki, Belmont, Devonport, Bayswater, Northcote, Birkenhead, Glenfield, Forrest Hill, Sunnynook, Castor Bay, Mairangi Bay, Browns Bay and Albany. Wider West Auckland and the CBD are covered by the same technician.

What it costs

Standard residential kerb damage starts from around $150 per wheel including GST. The final price depends on the damage and the finish, and we confirm it before starting. Many customers do one wheel, see the result, and book the other three.

Send a photo of the damage and we will confirm the price and a time that suits. Home, work or the car park, we come to you.

FAQs

Do you repair alloy wheels at workplaces in Takapuna?

Yes, and it is the easiest way to do it. Alan comes to your office car park or a nearby parking building, does the repair while you work, and you drive home on a like-new wheel. Suhail had exactly that done: a scratched mag brought back to new at his workplace, without any disruption to his day.

Will the repaired wheel match the others?

Yes. The refinish is colour matched to the existing wheels so the repaired one is not noticeable. That is one of the five things people choose us for. If your wheels are a diamond-cut or an unusual finish, send a photo first and we will tell you what result to expect.

Does the tyre have to come off?

No. The tyre stays on the car for the whole repair. That is why the job takes about an hour instead of a day and why we can do it in your driveway.

How does the price compare with the dealer?

Usually a lot lower. Guy Satterthwaite found Alan's pricing far cheaper than the manufacturer's preferred suppliers for his German car, and another customer had been quoted $250 to $350 elsewhere. We start from around $150 per wheel including GST, and we would rather do good work at a fair rate than charge what the market will bear.

Which North Shore areas do you cover?

All of them: Takapuna, Milford, Devonport, Northcote, Birkenhead, Glenfield, Browns Bay, Albany and everything between. If you are further out, use the Local Wheel Magician finder to check who covers your address.
